A superb architect designed building, a wonderful home for contemporary art, dance and music over 3 floors. I particularly recommend the wednesday film night seasons. V well curated, fascinating, off beat, quirky, interesting films, introductory talk from experts in the v well appointed performance space.
Great night bar in Nottingham. Good atmosphere, great drinks nice staff. Even the door man were nice guys. Would highly recommend.
Visited for Annual Canal & River Trust meeting. This took place in the cafe, a fantastic modern space, very airy and light. They provided an imaginative alternative to sandwiches and nibbles which was packed with flavour. Very enjoyable visit.
Probably the best place in the East Midlands for modern free exhibitions. This one on women, freedom, liberation etc is very good. Well worth going to, even if not all of it interests you. I found several things in each gallery to inspire me. The cafe is great too although today we didn't visit this.
One could say that the most wonderful thing about this facility is that it is free entry. This is the least wonderful thing about the Nottingham Contemporary. The best is the huge and diverse variety of exhibitions that they host. I have visited many times. Live music in the Cafe, interactive displays and very thought provoking images. All stir the soul in some way.Long live the Nottingham Contemporary!
