Unhelpful staff stood around chatting to each other and ignoring customers waiting at the counter. Made me feel like I was inconveniencing them when I asked for assistance. An unpleasant experience shopping here. I shop at mothercare in Stoke on Trent and their customer service is so much better. If I could give zero stars I would

Shopping here with my wife and 2-month-old baby left me feeling poorly treated as a customer. Tried to find a seat in-store to sit down with sleeping baby while my wife went into the fitting rooms. The only option was two empty seats next to the 'Babybond Ultrasound' franchise at the back of the shop, so I took one of these. I was promptly that these seats were for 'customers only', and moved on like some kind of itinerant beggar. The woman there said 'I don't work for Mothercare', which in her mind seemed to make everything ok. As there were no other seats anywhere else, apart from those for people to use while trying on shoes, I stood for the rest of the shopping trip with babe in arms. Mothercare, you are discriminating against parents, and you give the impression that you don't like their children much, either. Next time I'm going to John Lewis, who have at least devoted more than a second to think about their core customers' experience, and who recognise that babies are not the same as bags of shopping, and may need attention from time to time.

My silver cross surf has broke a few times now, im not happy the brake is faulty, first time i took it back the wheels broke, the staff started taking the wheels off with screwdrivers which marked my pram i could off pulled my hair out! So they issued a new one, as theh arent aloud to touch the prams! Second time the brake broke during a bus ride which resulted in my pram with my baby in toppling over! It was repaired and "fine" which it wasnt fine i started crying when it came back! then again my dad takes the children out, he put the brake turned around to help put a sun hat on my eldest child, it rolled into a busy road, the brake didnt work it jammed! Which resulted in my 6 year old screaming and crying because a car was coming and my dad was shaken up! The brake unjammed its self so i didnt take it back to mother care! As they will say its fine! I dont trust this pram because again its done it to me a few days after this time the brake wouldnt unjam! Ive taken a video its been all sent off, the store manager saw the pram with the brake jammed too! This pram isnt safe i feel let down so far and ripped off! If they decide to give me the pram "fixed" i will not be leaving the store until ive got a refund or a different oram! As clearly when it broke on the bus i shouldve had a different pram then! My baby could of died that day the brake broke and it rolled into a road! Im fuming and upset

Poor customer service - bought a product that was faulty/ not fit for purpose. I took the product back to store along with receipt. I was told due to the product being used and they are not able to resell they couldn't do anything and I will have to take the issue up with the supplier. I am now out of pocket as I don't want a replacement. I will not be making a significant purchases from mothercare again.

I bought a baby seat for my granddaughter for my car as I look after her several days a week. Recently I went on holiday so the lady looking after Raya for the week borrowed the chair for her car. Not being technically minded I rang Mothercare to ask if they would put it back in. They refused as I had not got my receipt- even though it is a Mothercare brand seat. They suggested I went to Halfords as they would fit any car seat at no cost. I have lost faith in Mothercare!!
