Locks after 10pmish preventing an easy cut through walk to the rest of Lenton. Highly inconvenient and nonsensible as there is little point in locking the rec when if anyone looking to cause damage will just jump the fence.
A great spot for childrens play, grownup kickabout, picnic tables, or the adult exercise area, featuring one item that can also be improvised into a TRX frame. Why still locked after 7am in the summer? Baffling. Why do the staff drive over the grass? Anyway, seems popular with all ages including families, couples, friends, very pleasant in summer and feels safe. Also features: peace garden, basketball practice, pagoda. An ample variety of tree species. Expect (well-behaved) dogs off the leash that may come up and greet, in a nice way. It sounds more exotic when one describes this little park, but perhaps surprisingly, all these things are there.
