It's so nice to have a floatation centre so close to home! If you look at a map of other centres in the UK, they are far and few between. Last I checked Calm Water is the only one for the East Midlands, but I feel floating is growing in popularity since the 80s and more may spring up in time.I've been floating here for quite some time now, and even though you could say the prices are quite high for most, they aren't when you break down the tanks themselves, running costs, the limit of people who can float per day, and so on. Google "I-Sopod" and see, these things are like the Bugatti of float tanks costing around 18K!! Not many could say they could easily have one in their home at that price!As for the experience, you just have to try it yourself. The staff are always nice and friendly, and the place is clean and calm throughout. Give it a go if you can afford it. If you're inclined by the mental and physical benefits, you won't be disappointed. You may find yourself going for a membership deal pretty quick.
It's a great place if you feel stressed or tired and want to take an hour or so for yourself to recharge. Highly recommended.
Outstandingly beneficial! A total body and mind experience. I initially went to get relief for my bad back, I got that plus complete peaceful relaxation for body and soul. Already booked next week.
