Made an appointmentin this nottingham branch because we wanted to speak to some body face to face instead of on the phone. When i called & spoke to a manager i was told that we could do this. I expained over the phone what it was about & they said yes they could help. But at the appointment the young girl we spoke to had no clue of how to help & said she would have to go & ask some one ! When she returned she said there's a special support team that deals with it. What a waste of my time. Lost faith in them now.
Unfortunately waiting times are always long, they never have enough staff to support customers, irrelevant of time or day. There are so many reports of high street closures including banks, so you would expect the service to be exemplary. It seems everything is cut to the bone so customer service is a thing of the past. Online seems the way to go if improvements cannot be made or cared about.
One of the most effective bank I know so far, friendly staff. Highly recommended
Nationwide as a Bank is great. But this branch is not ideal from the waiting times, design and layout, it is definitely not accessible for those customers who use a wheelchair or scooter and then the lack of staff on the front counters drives me around the bend. No matter what time in the day you go this branch always has a huge que, sometimes there are staff wanting to help and take you to another area, where they can assist you. But most of the time you have to wait in the que, In busy times. Expect to wait Over 10 minutes. There are four cashiers counters, normally there are only three staff on unless the queue has exceeded the gangway and heading out toward the door. Then the fourth desk gets opened.Once you are at the front of the que and using a mobility aid like a wheelchair or walking frame or you have a pushchair, you hope that the next free counter is not the two middle counters. Due to lack of space between the gangway and the counters for other customers to pass by. This can cause tempers to fray because of the long waiting times and everyone is in such a rush these days.If you are disabled and sitting in a wheelchair or scooter then the counter / desk is ridiculously high, this makes it very difficult to sign for things or to see what is actually going on.This is a new branch, that has only been open for the last few years, with a modern layout and design. I cannot understand why there is not a lower counter for those with mobility issues. Madness! Definitely not acceptable!I would recommend to those of you who have mobility issues and use equipment take the tram or bus to Beeston and go to the Nationwide branch on the High Street as this is more accessible to all. Including a lower counter and less waiting times.
Very friendly, nice and open place.
