Weavers specialise in a range of wines imported from all over the world as well as a selection of whiskies and spirits. It is a family business stablished over more than 100 years ago. Weavers is one of Nottinghams oldest wine independent businesses. Established in 1844 by Edward Cossal Weaver. Many of their staff have been with them a long time and they are encouraged to take their Wine and Spirit Exams and taste their wines regularly. They understand how impart is knowledge to you and their staff. Thats why they do educational training sessions, which are fun and informal (as they believe this is the best way to learn) either on your premises or at their tasting rooms in Nottingham.
Went in to enquire about a type of vodka, although they didn't have the one I wanted, after I'd explained the flavour. The gentleman recommended a different one, even giving me a taster.Glad they did go have the one I wanted as the recommended one was better. He also introduced me to gin, providing tasters as he explained his point. Wonderful service, honest (from what I experienced, correct) opinion and fair prices.
Staff here are really friendly and knowledgeable if you want to buy a drink with taste then come here.
Good stock, and some rare items, but at a premium. We saw the same bottle 8 less in M&S round the corner minutes after buying it.
This is fantastic. I get a regular delivery and always pop in to see what's new. They have hidden gems in their cellars that are well worth asking about. Very helpful and very friendly all the time. Best wine shop.
