What a delicious afternoon tea! Loved the surroundings and ambience too.
Excellent food & service. Was made to feel welcome from going in to going out. All 8 at the table remarked how good it was. As i personally don't drink alcohol i would have liked a non alcoholic lager or beer to have, with the excellent food.
A really nice meal which we both enjoyed. Having over indulged over the Christmas period we fancied yet another lunch and were very pleasantly surprised by our meal at The Larder. I had the salmon as my starter and it was a perfect light introduction to my meal. My partner had the aubergine which he enjoyed. I couldn't decide between the duck and the lamb for my main. Thankfully my partner had the duck so I could have the lamb and get a taste of what I had missed. Both were equally tasty and we both enjoyed our meals. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant cosy with interesting links to local history, Boots the chemist. Would definitely recommend.
Wonderful fresh, very tasty, home cooked food. Staff friendly and attentive, nothing too much trouble. Will definitely return.
Definitely worth a visit here. Each time I have been it has been really quiet. I don't know why it is so quiet all if the time but I can't imagine they would still be in business if people aren't dining here. The food has always been really nice and service professional and polite. Worth a visit, you just can't see it from the road very well.
