I attended 2009-2014.Djanogly City Academy was advertised to us as a technology school. As soon as we enrolled into this school they completely scrapped that. Yeah, every classroom had cheap Toshiba laptops with most of the keys missing and yeah, some classrooms had underpowered computers which magically came out of the desks but this place was so technologically behind other schools in the area that it was a complete joke.Here's a list of everything that went wrong when I was there: Year 7 - I was assaulted in school grounds, yet they refused to check CCTV and claimed that it was an out of school incident. Year 8 - The headmaster at the time, Mr. Berman, seemingly disappeared with no warning and no one in the school had any idea what was going on. Year 9 - Despite being completely capable of using a computer & outshining a lot of students in ICT, I was put in the bottom set. After constant nagging, I finally got moved up to the top set. Year 10 - We were made to start our ICT GCSE a year early for absolutely no reason. As it got close to the exam, our ICT teacher decided to go on a holiday which he never returned from. (He didn't die - he ended up leaving upon his return). This left us with the 'faculty leader' of ICT, Mr. Singh, who appeared to have only just got the hang of using a computer mouse. We were left with no study materials, no support and no teacher. We literally spent classes alone - with no supervision at all.I passed the examination, but the coursework part was a different story. Mr. Singh told us to submit our work to Mr. Shaw (who had left). Obviously this work went absolutely nowhere since he wasn't part of the staff team anymore, thus I failed my ICT GCSE. Year 11 - After failing the ICT GCSE (a year early), we then were forced to take religious studies. After much complaining, I managed to blag my way onto the Cambridge Nationals ICT course. Half way through the year, for some unknown reason, Mr. Singh decided to completely scrap that idea and changed our course to an unheard of 'ITQ' qualification. We had half of a year to complete that and you could achieve was either an equivalent to a GCSE B or completely fail. I somehow passed.During this time, the school was put into special measures and we had to have a headmaster from a third party come in to save the school.The only genuinely great teachers left of their own accord and I can't blame them at all.Here are some teachers that made a great impact on my education for the better, who ended up leaving due to the absolutely piss-poor management of this school.-edit- I put individual reviews for some of the teachers who were good at this school, but for some reason Google used snippets of those as a positive summary of the review - so I've removed this part. I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea about the school. It's not good.Overall, when I was there the school was in an abysmal state and anyone who attended or even taught there during that time can easily agree.I can't tell you what it's like now, but this review is based off of my personal experience.

School rules should be changed, children can not go to the toilet. Many students have problems with the kidneys, this is unacceptable
If i could give 0 i would. This school has been nothing but a let down, teachers constantly leaving and leaving classes with no teachers, leaving students stressed and not knowing whats going on. A science teacher has just left my brothers year 11 class to go to a new job, a few weeks before there GCSE exams, when they are already exstreamly behind. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL!
