Big pub. A little worn and tired. I've only been in the daytime and it's been quite empty and lacking in atmosphere. The men were watching the sport on tv so it's good of you're looking for that. The bar maid was friendly and made a little small talk which was welcoming.

This place has the potential to be the best sports bar in Notts & to overtake southbank but needs some BIG changes from management.Pizza base was poor, just like a shop bought cardboard pizza so that needs to improveTvs flicker on and off upstairs, projectors for football arent set to the correct picture settings and are blurry, some TVs are too dim so need their picture settings changed. Tvs are in wrong places to watch matches (why is there 3 TVs above the stairs but none in the projector room upstairs or above the table by the back door ?)Staff are slow on the bar; pour a pint then stand and chat for 1 min before serving someone else when the bar is rammed so service needs to be quicker, this went for more than one member of bar staff on my visit Football commentary and music was too quiet upstairs so could barely hear it compared to downstairs where the volume was goodOur table ordered food upstairs but never got offered cutlery or napkins so we had to find someone to ask HOWEVER loved the aesthetic (apart from tv positioning upstairs, some fairy lights going up the stairs would look awesome too) loved the menu, love the student deals, love the mon/fri offer, staff were friendly and smiley, good atmosphere overall I think an overhaul of management and someone to push this place to its best would make this place do so well. Its got everything it needs to be the best sport bar but something needs to change to get it on the same level as southbank; annoying when this place has potential that silly things like broken TVs etc let this place downI will be returning as I think its a good bar, and I will hopefully see these improvements in my future visits

Cheap on Monday and Friday. Good prices on beer, although not much choice mostly larger. Food good value too. Has plenty of TV screens for sport.

Lovely place, hidden gem. Great aesthetics even better food and friendly staff

Have been a couple of times with my fiance & have had a great meal & have been made to feel welcome on both occasions. The staff are very polite & friendly. The 50% off for students is an added bonus. I would highly recommend the Oz bar.
