What a cool place. There's a bunch of cool areas to sit inside the pub and lots of history and memorabilia on the walls. Service was great and the food looked and smelled really nice. Good selection of both cask and craft beers. Really enjoyed my time here.
Lovely pub. Dripping with history. If you like medieval architecture with its wooden beams, wonky floors, artwork and swords on the wall then you'll love this place. Had only a fruit crumble and a coffee here today so can only comment in those as far as food & drink goes. Both were very good.
Great spot for a bite to eat. Decent food, decent beer, gorgeous setting. Close to the heart of town, it's in an accessible area without feeling crowded. There's a good buzz there in summer, it might even be a wait to get a table at peak. The old aesthetic of this pub is unique even for a town so full of ancient pubs so it's well worth the visit!
Only went for a drink with a friend but was impressed by this lovely pub with it's little quiet corners. Very friendly staff who actually told us that there were extra rooms upstairs. Will come back and try the food a it looked delicious at the various tables. Nice find.
Lovely old pub. Very old fashioned and unspoiled. Good variety of real ales, wines and spirits.Didn't eat here but he food looked very nice.Staff were welcoming and friendly, and were most of the locals that we spoke to.Definitely worth visiting.
