This Dovecote was built about 1560 by Sir Francis Willoughby, who lived in nearby Woollaton Hall, to produce food from doves and pigeons. After many years of use it then fell derelict until it was renovated into a small museum. Well worth a visit to see it's historical value and listen to the history about the Dovecote from the volunteers who run it
