Me and my partner came for a meal on 27/12, was was greeted by Patrick who looked after us well, I asked for a non alcoholic cocktail even though there was no menu which he sorted for me no issues at all. I had the sirloin steak which was probably the best steak Ive ever had in my life! My partner had a massive burger which he enjoyed. Throughout the night we was also severed by a lady, I think her name was Martina ? She was very friendly and helpful, she kept asking if we needed any more drinks or sauces etc. Will be back again soon!
Rather disappointed as looking at the menu previously it promised to be a meat lovers paradise. I had the blue burger with an extra pattie which was just OK but nothing special. My wife went for the spicy bean burger which was a total joke. She doesn't do very spicy and was dubious as it had a warning but it turned out to be unfounded because she said it was one of the blandist taistless meals that she had had in a long time coupled with a minimal quantity left her looking for further sustenance later in the evening.
Good lunch deal for 7. Had been before and was yummy, today the salad had too much oil on and the bread was very dry on the sandwich. Fantastic fresh raspberry lemonade though!
Good points Lovely decorNice atmosphere Great menu ( for meat fans)Bad pointsSlow and poor service , we waited ages for our order to be taken and had to ask several times for water, tables around us also had to chase for the bill and cutlery etc. Asked for condiments didnt get them Both of our orders were incorrect , one had ordered steak and got ribs, one had got no fries with meal. Several things on menu unavailable Small portions for the money, very plain ( ie half a chicken comes with a tiny tub of fries but no side salad or garnish , just really plain and sad looking)Overall promises a lot but sadly all style over substance, really dont understand the good reviews this place has, we wouldnt return.
I had previously visited for dinner which was lovely, but on this occasion it was Sunday lunch. With 5 adults and 4 children there was something for everyone and it was all done to a really good standard. I like the relaxed atmosphere and decor of this place which does sing from a hymn sheet that I enjoy - good quality products (meat in particular) washed down with a tasty beverage, all at a reasonable price.
