An interesting explanation about the history of prisons in England, transportation and capital punishment. Clearly intending to meet the needs of school groups, the displays are set quite low. I didn't have time to see the court rooms and displays about the police also litigation. Next time I am in Nottingham I will go back.

You do have to see the mock hanging and the Court hearing. The staff interact with everyone really well. The cafe is OK too. We spent over 3 hours here making sure we hadn't missed anything there is also the chance to buy a duel ticket to get you into the caves too. We did both in one day and were very happy with what we saw.

I visited here with my friends and I honestly it was a great experience. There is so much to explore and do including being part of an interactive courtroom. The staff are great and often available when you're exploring away to tell you about the history behind it all. There really is a lot to explore and you can't go wrong as tickets are reasonably priced.

Absolutely loved the museum. Brilliant, very unique. The actors were great, good fun. We spent about 3 - 3 and a half hours there and easily could have done more. Only left as we had to. We had the city of caved booked as a joint ticket which was also great, worth a visit.

Absolutely amazing day out, the museum staff really brought everything to life. My daughters and their friend loved the trial reenactment and really enjoyed the chance to join in. The actor were really knowledgeable and hilarious too. Would highly recommend this place to families. Easily the most entertaining museum we've been to.
