Hmm I didn't have the best car rental experience with Europcar, while booking for my rental car online there was no info in regards to paying for a deposit.. On arrival to pick my car all these new informations started coming up regarding paying for deposits.... So the information online was misleading.
Very poor service.Rude girl on the desk last Saturday morning.Car I hired wasnt available so I had to get a (similar 1) apparently it's the policy.When I booked over the phone no one mentioned this. Nor did they mention the additional daily excess I had to pay which cost another 60 quid.I was told the car fuel needle was not working correctly and when you filled the car it didnt show full.I got asked to sign documents and to sign that the car was not scratched. I asked the girl on the desk if we could go and check she said it isn't the policy and I'm fully covered by my daily excess. All I had to do was bring it back with a full tank. When I contested that I couldn't sign without both of us checking she threatened to not hire me the car if I didnt go. Not had this before with a hire company. When I said I was making a complaint she said she wasnt bothered because she had handed her notice in.I have already compiled a letter to send to the area manager and once it's open I will be calling customer service.very poor service.

I have had need of hire cars for the past couple of months. Initially I used two other hire car companies - and was not happy at all with the service I received. I then reluctantly went to Europcar. I can categorically say that the service I have received - both at the Birmingham Nottingham Branches have been of a high standard - easy to extend hires, very accessible to get to, cars have always been clean on hiring, and the staff are very courteous and friendly. It is not always easy getting through to the branches though - maybe a victim of thier success!!! Would highly recommend!!!
Friendly helpful staff. Easy and convenient, as so close to main transport hub with trams, trains and buses. Also simple collection and drop off. Pretty good price for initial hire. Easy to extend the hire over the phone, although quite pricey.
