A wonderful hairdressers, really understands how to suit a haircut to the person. I had Daniel, who really helped me figure out what to do with my hair! Love this place, quality service.
I had high hopes for this salon, having read all the amazing reviews online. However I would strongly advise anyone from going here. I arrived at 1:30pm on a sunny afternoon to get my hair done in balayage. Upon arrival I was escorted past everyone on the first floor to a dark dimly-lit basement. It looked half done. The stylist later mentioned something about the salon being refurbished, but I was not warned of this beforehand. I had a colour consultation in a dark room without any natural light at all (!)but the stylist (Evelyn) did seem to know what she was talking about so I did try to remain positive. The smell in the basement was full of chemicals which was very uncomfortable and made me cough at regular intervals. After showing Evelyn some pictures of what I had in mind we had a chat and she went to work. I ended up being in the salon until 5:30 (4 hours!), which is a very long time even for a balayage! The salon only accepted cash payment - which is ok, but I had not been given advance notice of this over the phone and had actually planned to put this on my credit card as it was towards the end of the month.When I left, I thought my hair looked fine but after 1-2 weeks it became obvious that the balayage had ended up in a very awful, stripy highlighted look, with some of my mid-brunette hair having really bright blonde streaks placed totally at random. There was no gently fading and blending of colours anywhere to be seen. I paid 166 for this disastrous hair colour which also took all the shine from my hair. I recently had it fixed in another, much nicer salon where they did an actual balayage in less time and for less money! I will never return to Evoke and I would advise everyone else to stay well clear.
Feel like a new lad after this, Seno is your man if you ever need a trendy cut! Never failed me once. Leaving feeling fresh and his head massage is out of this world. Felt like I was at a spa!
If I could give more stars I would! Have visited a few times and have never been disappointed, and everyone is extremely friendly. Evelyn who always does my hair for me is extremely patient and always makes my hair look/feel amazing. Highly recommend!
I would definitely recommend this place.The overall experience was very great and the place is very nice, there is a great atmosphere. The staff is friendly too.I had a caramel balayage and my hairdresser (Evelyn) gave me great advises and I love the final result, it was exactly what I wanted.So thank you very much for this first experience, I will definitely come back.
