The staff were friendly and helpful.At times, reception was empty with no way to alert anyone that you were waiting. The hotel is very basic and looks very tired and out of date. Every 20ft, you seem to have to go up or down yet another set of stairs. Not good if you have a heavy case. The TV in my room was set at a strange angle. The aerial was faulty and frequently needed to be jiggled about to get reception back. One of the lights also had exposed wires. The food was very expensive too. Almost 30 for an 8oz steak. It cost 10 for a 5in bit of fish and some chips.
Pleasantly surprised. I got a good deal so it was excellent value for money. The room could have been bigger. Breakfast much better than I hoped. On the whole clean.it was just some of the final finishing off with paintwork etc that let it down. Really comfortable bed. Appreciated.
Brilliant place. Very friendly staff, we were given free drinks as the barrels were being changed when we walked in to the bar. I would recommend the Westminster burger it was lovely. Rooms very clean and recently decorated. I would stay there again.
Lovely room, comfortable bed and great breakfast. The staff were all good, the restaurant meal was excellent. I would stay again.
Very good hotel in walkable distance from the centre. Free parking available. Room was large and very clean with everything you could want in there including iron and ironing board and additional heating and cooling appliances. Lovely extra large comfortable bed in our room. Staff were polite and attentive and rates were reasonable. A large chain but with individuality in their hotels.
